This fundraising machine has piled-up a staggering sum of $300 million in the past couple of years to mount an unprecedented challenge to the Washington establishment. Under the radar, ‘Chicago Insurgency’ has demolished the ‘House of Clintons’ and has posed a serious threat to the entire ‘Republican Movement’.
Team-Obama has also encouraged the presumption that bulk of the money is being raised on the internet. This perception has helped his finance team to tap into the traditional Democratic financial establishment, unhindered. The Clinton machine was caught napping. Barack Obama learnt his fundraising skills from Chicago Mayor Richard M. Daley for 2004 Senate campaign. Penny Pritzker, the Hyatt heiress was an early supporter of Barack Obama’s senatorial campaign in 2004. She is now the national finance chairperson for Senator Obama’s presidential race.
