The hypocrisy of Communists (CPI-M) is legendary. They have one set of policies for the ‘Central Government’, led by Prakash Karat and exactly the opposite when it comes to CPI (M) governed state of West Bengal. Mamata Banerjee has beaten the likes of Prakash Karat by a huge margin. Her self-centered ambition is like the HIV/AIDS virus. She would have the distinction of depriving millions of poor and unemployed people of West Bengal of a good and decent manufacturing Job. Her single-minded goal is to be the next Chief Minister of West Bengal. To achieve that ambition she would continue to launch one agitation after another. In the bargain if few people are killed, like in Nandigram, so be it. If Tata Motors pull out of Singur and 10,000 jobs are lost, so be it! No price is big enough for her to be the Chief Minister. The lives of poor farmers and low-wage workers are just collateral damage in her long political fight. In what respect is she different than say Syed Ali Shah Geelani, Raj Thackeray, Praveen Togadia or Prakash Karat? They are all traitors in our great Indian democracy.
Mamata Banerjee was born in Kolkata, West Bengal, on January 5, 1955. She is an LLB (graduate of Law) from Calcutta University. She joined Congress (I) in 1970s and started her political carrier. Mamata Banerjee defeated the Communist stalwart Somnath Chatterjee from Jadavpur constituency in West Bengal in 1984. She became the youngest parliamentarian in India and took over as General Secretary of All India Youth Congress. She lost her seat briefly in 1989 but was back in 1991 from Kolkata South. She has retained that seat since then. In 1991, she was inducted in the cabinet of P. V. Narasimha Rao government as a Minister of State for Human Resources Development, Youth Affairs and Sports, and Women and Child Development. She was eased out of her portfolios in 1993. Since then she has been the rabble-rousing politician from West Bengal. In April 1996, she alleged that Congress was behaving as a stooge of the CPI-M in West Bengal. Since then her theatrics are well known throughout the ‘Indian Political World’. She would stop at nothing!

mamata banerjee previously announced that she is a p.h.d. from east jorjea university…later when it was disclosed that there is no such university anywhere in the world she stoped talking about it…u can check it…in his lok sabha profile(old) it was written that she is m.a., b.ed., l.l.b., p.h.d but in new profile it is said that she is m.a., b.ed., l.l.b.. ha ha ha ha

Mamata has done a biggest blunder by associating with congress. She, her party along with congress will lose badly in present lok sabha election. We all forgotten Netaji Subhas Chandra Bose. Ms.Mamata Banerjee was originally in Congress. No surprise she has struck a deal with that party which ditched Nethaji Subhas Chandra Bose, a great son of Bengal. She has nothing to do with people’s interest and her only concern is power. SUCI’s alliance with her has nothing to do with principle or policies either. SUCI, which calls itself a great revolutionary party, is trying to seek protoection behind the ‘palloo’ (saree edge) of Ms.Mamata Banerjee. This very SUCI leaders once ‘opined’ that Mamata was not a force to reckon with. When and how TMC become pro people is for the SUCI leaders to explain. They together have asked for central paramilitary forces in the Nandhigram area as if that would save the prople. Either they are stupid or they are hand in gloves with the central rulers. Even during the Panchayat and Zilla Parischad elections the threesome combi ned stealthily. Now it has become open. They can not go on deceiving their cadre forever. What the people of Benglal will do now? A known devil is better than an unknown angel, goes a saying.
It looks that Mamata has become a force to reckon in Singur and Nandigram. Ongoing recession is causing millions to lose their jobs in India including West Bengal. How can creation of 10000 jobs can replace the jobs which millions are losing. Also creation of 10000 jobs will be done at the cost of more than 20000 families , who will lose their homes and means to survive. Unlike the past , when establishing any new industry resulted in creation of thousands of jobs, present day industrialization based on automation, hardly creates few hundred jobs for highly educated youth . Instead thousands are displaced and their living is destroyed . Singur and Nandigram is an example. Industrialists know it quite well. they have an eye on prime lands on the fringe of towns , which will give them immense profits in future. That is why Tatas , who could have established their plant in 600 acres, have taken control of 1200 acres to butteress their future real estate business. In addition to this, from the taxes collected from poor people of West Bengal , a great booty will be paid to Tatas as sops by Left Frong Government.

I think it would be too simplistic to blame Mamata Bandyopadhyay for all the ill and evils in the state of West Bengal, not least to describe her as a curse.
There is an old adage that history repeats itself and that is what is happening in West Bengal. The Left, which has for years, made the state captive of narrow idealism and iedological snobbery is now feeling the real heat.
Imagine what had happened in West Bengal over the past three decades and one Mamata Bandyopadhyay is incapable of undoing that.
The Left which once branded themselves as the messiah of the poor both rural and urban are now being smitten by the likes of Tatas and Birlas for their own political interests.
I think in a way what has been happening in West Bengal over the past few months is actually good in a way that it exposed the Left and its defeatistic ideology.
The Left, which has now turned supra-nationalist (statist) by projecting themselves against carving out Gorkhaland from West Bengal, had once proposed the same idea of a separate hill state under the leadership of Ananda Pathak.
Rather than commenting more on impulse and less on logic and facts one should make an effort to read history between the lines.
Please visit the National Library at Alipore in Kolkata to check the postition that the Left had on Gorkhaland before making any demeaning statement about any person, who be it.

History of Bengal after independence is divided into two periods; period of famine (1947 – 1977) and the period of delayed success (1977 – till date). There was famine in 1959, 1966, and 1974. Famines were mainly due to non-cultivation of land under jotedar ownership. Agriculture is not much profitable for them. After 1977, due to land reform, food production is up and famine problem is solved. There was one potential famine in 1978 (due to big flood), but panchayat and co-ordination committee avoided a famine like situation. So the new period of delayed success started. Haldia is delayed by 12 yrs, Bakreswar by 8 yrs. Singur will also come one day after some delay like Haldia. DELAYED SUCCESS IS BETTER THAN FAMINE.
