Two thirds of the global problems were created by Shri Harry Truman from 1945 to 1952. We are still paying the price for some of them. There is now a section of American Media and the Democratic Party that wants to re-write the history and lionize the dumb former president. We have a troika of a dumb, dumber and the dumbest that wouldn’t let go the idiotic policies of the Truman Administration and are hell-bent on creating a dangerous international situation. Barack Hussein Obama is the dumb one, Zbigniew Brzezinski undoubtedly is dumber but the dumbest is still Jimmy Carter, a calamity in the name of American Presidency. You make take your pick!
Last night I watched a conversation on Charlie Rose Show with Dr Henry Kissinger and Zbigniew Brzezinski about Barack Obama’s trip to Europe and the emerging foreign policy of the new administration. While Kissinger was guarded in his assessment, Brzezinski was obviously euphoric about the Democratic President. This guy refuses to grow up and learn from the mistakes of the last 57 years. It was Harry S Truman who created the cold war with equally bull-headed Joseph Stalin. Truman unleashed the specter of the nuclear weapons by dropping the atom bombs on Hiroshima and Nagasaki. He is responsible for the stalemate of Israel and Palestine.
The troika of Carter, Brzezinski and now Barack Obama seem to have learnt nothing. The Truman doctrine has failed to produce any long-term results. Is it not time to look at the world differently? George W Bush may not have been the most articulate president of the recent crop but he looked at the world differently. His misadventure in Iraq notwithstanding, he opened new venues for America to build and develop new alliances. Brazil, India and South Africa are the most promising investments that the Bush administration made during the last 8 years. Obama is hell bent on destroying these alliances and is going back to the failed Truman doctrine!
